Artist and animator of repute, Nina Paley, occasionally offers a “100 Dollar Drawing” in response to requests from followers on social media such as Facebook, and the “Voluptuous Elf” was the result of something I posted in response to comments on life-drawing that I have been doing over the Covid 19 lockdown.
I have an Instagram account and what is an inescapable fact is the large number of aspiring artists whose work seems to be confined to “Fan Art” or pop-culture tropes like fairies, often of the voluptuous kind, which Nina thought was funny enough to warrant a drawing in her inimitable style.
